Virtual Reality Enhanced Learning

The immersive nature of VR and 360-degree media is in line with constructivist approaches to learning that have shown how learners actively (co-)construct new knowledge through personal experience. Immersive learning environments not only offer the possibility to recreate different aspects of reality, but also allow learners to do and experience things that would be impossible in real life, such as practicing place prepositions in an interactive spatial context (see VR Place Prepositions) or getting acquainted with student life from your home desk (see VR Student Life at AAU).

This website is dedicated to meaning-making practices in VR learning contexts. It distinguishes VR systems from 360° media and explores new ways how these technologies can be incorporated into teaching and learning practices.
